Brooklyn Perinatal Network

bpnetwork.org is the website of a Brooklyn maternal and child health nonprofit that has served families for 38 years. I rebuilt the site and run it today.

After (live today)

What changed

  • A layout that fits phones, tablets and desktops, with a menu button on small screens
  • Secure HTTPS connection
  • A prominent Donate button in the main menu, linked to online giving
  • Labeled navigation and carousel controls, plus descriptive alt text on images
  • A cookie-consent notice with clear Accept and Decline buttons
  • Tap-to-call phone link and a Facebook page feed
  • Page description, social-sharing tags and structured data so search engines know it is a nonprofit

What a mock-up looks like

Two homepage concepts I designed on my own to show my approach. These businesses did not hire me and have not endorsed these mock-ups. Names and trademarks belong to their owners. Photos are licensed stock (credits below).

How it works

Three steps, no surprises

  1. Free mock-up

Send me your business name and current website. I'll send back a one-page mock-up or a short audit of what to fix.

  2. 15-minute call

Phone or video. We go over the mock-up and what you need.

  3. Build and launch

Clear price up front, then I build it and set it live. Changes later are flat-rate, with no monthly contract needed.

FAQ

Honest answers

How much does it cost?

Founding client prices for my first 3 clients: Starter $500 (up to 5 pages) and Standard $1,000 (10+ pages). Regular prices are $750 and $1,500. You pay in three steps: 30% to start, 35% at design approval and the rest before launch. The mock-up is free.

How long does it take?

About 2 weeks for a Starter site and about 3-4 weeks for a Standard site, depending on how quickly we can go over the design and get your content.

Who owns my website?

You do. Once the final payment is made, you own the finished site and its content. Third-party items such as stock photos and fonts stay under their own licenses.

Is maintenance required?

No. It's an optional add-on at $50/mo for hosting, updates, backups and a monthly form check. You can cancel anytime with 30 days' notice. Or skip it and pay flat rates when you need a change: $25 for a small edit, $60 for a larger update.

What do you need from me?

Your business name, your current website if you have one, and a 15-minute call. Then your logo, photos, hours, services and any text you'd like included. If you don't have photos, I can use licensed stock until you do.

Want a free mock-up of your site?

Tell me your business name and website. I'll send a one-page homepage mock-up, no obligation.
